Grace Kao hosted a book launch celebration on Saturday, October 17 for first-time author Jean Neely. Her book, Christ in the Abyss: Cultivating Deep Faith Amid Depression and Despair, explores her faith journey as she learns to manage her relationships with her family, Christian faith, and work while being bipolar.
Attendees got a chance to hear Dr. Neely read excerpts from her book and field questions about why she started to write about her journey, what she hopes readers will learn from her book, and its reception thus far.
